Robin Sommers is our business lawyer who has jumped onto the legal stage with a primary interest of helping our clients on the professional stage. Although he enjoys the challenges of general business and corporate law, his first interest is for those in the entertainment field. He works with all types of entertainers (stage and otherwise - including fashion, art, and literature), but his first love is music law.
Robin also deals with Intellectual Property and its preservation. He works not only with entertainers, but inventors, business people, and those interested in taking the necessary steps to ensure that their works are protected. He handles all matters of copyright, trademark, and confidentiality agreements.One of Robin's main interests is working with all forms of media and the cutting-edge of new media, which covers all the developing forms of entertainment and content delivery.
A graduate of the University of Florida and the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, Robin studied entertainment law and related fields, including Internet law and intellectual property. There, he received a certificate in Law, Technology, and Communications. Robin is licensed to practice law in all state courts of Florida and also the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He has handled matters for clients in Florida, California, Texas, Michigan, Maryland, Canada, Jamaica, Dubai, the Supreme Court of Arizona, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.
Robin has lectured as a panelist at Thomas Jefferson School of Law's 2008 Entertainment Law panel "What is Entertainment Law?"
